“Full Coverage” Is Not an Actual Coverage on Your Policy
“Do I have full coverage?” is hard to answer with a simple yes or no, because “full coverage” is not a formal coverage name on any policy.
1. It is not a standard
In everyday use, the term usually means Liability plus Collision plus Comprehensive. But that is not a defined standard, and interpretations vary. You will not find a line item called “full coverage” on a policy.
The result: two people both say they have full coverage; one has Rental and Roadside, the other does not. The conversation sounds identical while the policies are not.
2. The five places policies actually differ

3. The Texas rule on PIP and UM/UIM
Under Texas rules, an auto policy is required to include PIP and UM/UIM unless the applicant rejects them in writing (source: TDI). Many people signed that rejection in the middle of a stack of paperwork without any memory of it.
One more detail: UMPD — damage to your vehicle caused by an uninsured driver — carries a $250 deductible set by Texas law, and it cannot be waived.
